
Tweeting from this year’s E3, Anita Sarkeesian made a series of Tweets in which she complained about the excessive violence contained in the Doom 4 gameplay trailer.
Look at Anita! She is such a brave and sensible little girl, fighting to make the world a better place.
I am sure if that we ban violence in video games, everyone on this planet will join hands and start singing Kumbaya.
Yet we have this picture of Anita smiling and leaning on a stack of ultra-violent video games, presumably in order to prove her gamer cred:
Among the games in that stack are Far Cry, Left 4 Dead, F.E.A.R, Diablo 3, Killzone, Mafia and Dark Souls. But I guess it’s okay to be hypocritical as long as you’re fighting for social justice, right? Sarkeesian’s Tweets prompted a response from Doom series creator John Carmack, who replied:
