During the Capcom panel, attendees where treated to a small but satisfying look at Street Fighter V with game-play footage and a brief commentary on the upcoming game. While Capcom seems to be saving a big announcement for E3, they did drop several bits of news.
Street Fighter V
It’s coming to PS4 and PC, so if you own an Xbox One you’re out of luck. If you’re into pre-orders you’ll be happy to know that you can participate in the beta.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition
Capcom of course wanted hype up another upcoming release for current gen consoles—Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. This edition of the game is yet another current gen port of a last gen game. In addition to updated visuals, the game will contain new features. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition features three new playable characters with their own distinct gameplay style: Virgil, Lady and Trish. The game will also bring Legendary Dark Knight Mode, which was originally exclusive to the PS4 and Xbox One.
Time was also dedicated to Resident Evil. The original game has received a current gen with updated graphics and some new features. Resident Evil Revelations 2 was also mentioned during the panel and you can expect a review from me on that game in the near future.
Dead Rising: The Watch Tower
There was a small segment dedicated to Dead Rising: The Watch Tower, a Crackle exclusive movie. While the movie has been out for a couple of days on Crackle, I have yet to see it. Nonetheless, it was fun to hear from the film’s director Zach Lipovsky. The production worked closely with Capcom’s office in Vancouver in an effort to stay true to game. Lipovsky of course discussed Dead Rising’s iconic combo weapons, which make an appearance in the movie.
Monster Hunter 4
The Panelists were also extremely happy to discuss the success of Monster Hunter 4. The popular 3DS game has been a big seller. A couple hints were given about future DLC packs; it looks like Monster Hunter 4 fans expect Metroid and Animal Crossing themed DLC in the near future.
I took the opportunity to visit the Capcom booth following the presentation. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment:
Of coarse the Capcom Booth had some nice Merchandise.
